Lodovico Zocche was born in Milan and studied at the conservatories of Milan, Turin and Vienna - where he was awarded a scholarship for further studies at the University of Music. He attended numerous master classes, e.g. with Franco Ferrara, Carlo Maria Giulini and Prof. Ferdinand Leitner.
In the season 1991-92, he was given a permanent position at the OPERNHAUS ZÜRICH, where he successfully stood in for conductor Eliau Ihnbal. in La Forza del Destino.
Numerous performances at this opera house followed: I Puritani, Matrimonio Segreto, Romeo et Juliette, Mozart’s Requiem and Eine leichte helle schöne Ferne, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, La Forza del Destino,…

In the season 1999-2000, Lodovico Zocche made his debut at the BREGENZ FESTIVAL, where he conducted Un Ballo in Maschera with the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra.
A highlight of the 2000-2001 season was his performance of La Bohème in a NEW PRODUCTION with the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra at the BREGENZ FESTIVAL 2001, where he also repeated his performance of Un Ballo in Maschera.
From 2000 to 2004 he was First Kapellmeister at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf.
In the season 2001-2002, the maestro conducted Verdi’s Rigoletto, Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri, a NEW PRODUCTION of Puccini’s La Bohème, Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro and Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the DEUTSCHE OPER AM RHEIN DÜSSELDORF/DUISBURG.
In December 2001, Zocche conducted the NEW PRODUCTION of Donizetti's L’Elisir d’Amore at the OPERNHAUS GRAZ.
During the 2003-2005 seasons, highlights included a concert with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, Romeo et Juliette with S. Bonfadelli and G. Sabbatini in Munich with the GASTEIG PHILARMONIE, an opera gala with José Cura in Holland, a new production of Bellini’s Norma and a revival of Puccini’s Il Trittico as well as many other revivals (La Boheme, Aida, Cavalleria Rusticana, I Pagliacci, Carmen) at the DEUTSCHEN OPER AM RHEIN DÜSSELDORF/DUISBURG.
